My first time in the FILBO

Hello,

If you want to support me in any way, here's my new PayPal: cavc0424@gmail.com

So we (my family and I) went to the Bogotá 2023 International Book Fair (FILBO) in its #35 version, we began our tour of pavilion #3. There were promotions on different sites and the most expected books of all tastes, authors and genres at good prices.

We visited participating universities with their academic literature. We noticed from the beginning that in some places there was no efficient waste separation system.

The guest country of honor was Mexico, this being the third edition in which they have joined us, there were art exhibitions, talks with authors and a bookstore with nearly 30,000 copies, as well as two bookstores, some of them dedicated to books for children and young people. The motto of our guest of honor was: "Roots and encounters for a future of peace for our America." Along the way we saw this beautiful message: "Donating a book is an Act of Peace." We also found the Harry Potter house (in this blog we are fans of Harry Potter).

We believe that Filbo is the perfect setting to talk about the problem of plastic and the environmental importance of second-hand books. We found very interesting books including those that talk about climate change. We arrived at the stand of the Ministry of the Environment, where the frailejón Ernesto Pérez spoke about the importance of our páramos, the Escazú agreement and the 13 Eco-regions of Colombia.

Cali was this year's guest city offering: talks, book launches and the launch of the Caleñidad editorial fund. We passed by the stands where they had incredible posters. Finally, we found our favorite stand with second-hand books, of excellent quality and at very good prices.

Our first time at Filbo ended with a beautiful sunset, happiness in my heart for attending such an important event and with the firm conviction that next year they will implement more measures to protect the environment.

I send you a big hug from this tropical paradise called Colombia.
