August 29th marks the 14th anniversary of the traffic accident in which I was (not for nothing do I say that I have lived like 10 lives in one), it turns out that that day I went out with some colleagues from the university to an electronic music event (I don't I remember if I was dating at that time, but I was with the one who would be my boyfriend for about two years I think), well it turns out that I went with all the friends of that person I was meeting and there was one of my classmates, who I was best friends with that person.

We left in the truck belonging to one of them (which was new), one of the things that I have most in mind is that whoever was driving accelerated a lot, while the others jokingly said like, let's run over that person and things like that, to they were funny, I was surprised that they behaved and made those kinds of comments. I also remember my running mate (who I also liked to be honest) who was the best friend of who would become my boyfriend, told me don't wear your seatbelt, he told me because I was so scared about things they were doing, and he would unbutton it every time I put it on. The event was in a fairly distant place, it was torture to get there.
We were at the party and we were having a great time, what I didn't know was that they were consuming illegal/hallucinogenic substances, that night we were 4 men and me, I had only noticed that one of them was smoking mary jane, but well I didn't care, let's say that in the university environment that was nothing special and well we were drinking. I imagine that they were testing synthetics, because it is very common that these are the sweets at these parties. We were dancing and the truth is, I was having a great time, it was time to go back, so we went back to the truck and started, on the way, everything seemed to be fine. In fact we went to eat and drink something to wake up, it was already like 3-4 in the morning, it was already dawn.
Before we got in the car, the man I was dating asked the friend how: are you sure you're okay to drive? I can drive for you, he replied that yes, everything was fine. We were already twenty minutes from the house of the man I was dating, I was going to take a taxi from there to my house. We were listening to music, I remember we were going a little fast again, that's when we took the curve and the next thing I remember is that I was moving like a rag doll, I couldn't control my body, something very loud sounded, I hit my legs shins against the part where they put the drinks and I crashed into one of the seats, when that happened, everything happened in slow motion but it was actually seconds (I was in the back, in the middle and not wearing a seatbelt of security).

The driver had had a micro dream in the curve and we crashed into a tree, the impact was so strong that we uprooted the tree, the tree fell on top of another car. The truck was turned m... the front part was completely divided, the tree was left in the middle of the front part where the engine goes. The tires were damaged because the truck managed to climb onto the separator. Luckily nothing happened to the people who fell from the tree.
All I remember after that moment was that I screamed and looked down because my legs hurt, at that moment a stream of blood fell from my nose, that has been one of the worst feelings I have ever experienced, I was so panicked, I got out of the truck as best I could and I started screaming and crying, I was yelling at them that it was all their fault, then a taxi driver arrived and took me to the hospital, he literally took my arm and helped me get into the car, he was making me questions and I answered him as best I could because I was in shock.
I was very disoriented, plus I was drunk, that made everything worse. I arrived at the hospital emergency room and they sat me down to wait because they had to do tests to see if I had not injured my head. Before they took me to the house exam, they began to ask me questions, to do the exam with the flashlight, the one about reflections, and I continued to be in shock. I think that at that moment I had to give information about a relative who could see me, at that point I think I told my cousin to go get me, my parents lived in another city.
A nurse came up to me, they took me to do an MRI to see that my brain had not been damaged by the blow I gave myself, then they did a blood test, they wanted to buy my degree of alcoholism, I don't remember if they told me, the same I no longer felt drunk, the scare took away any symptoms of drunkenness. After the exams they told me that I had to sit down and wait because the surgeon wasn't there...... and I just thought: the surgeon? which surgeon? Sitting there, he arrived, who would become my boyfriend, he posed as my cousin and they let him accompany me, I felt very sad and did not know what was going to happen to me.
I also remember that at some point during the time I was there the driver of the truck also arrived, they had him in a wheelchair, he had injured his arm, but after a while he was playing with the wheelchair all over the place, It seemed pretty silly to me, but I think he was 17 years old. I just looked at him with some annoyance because because of him I was there. After a while they took the driver to do tests and I never saw him again, I don't even know where his phone was, I don't remember if they called me, honestly I don't remember many things anymore.
I was very hungry but they wouldn't let me eat anything, because I was still waiting for the surgeon, he had to see me or that was what they were telling me for several hours, I had to wait, those hours passed slowly, luckily I was with my friend/future boyfriend and he was trying to distract myself By that time, I couldn't breathe through my nose, I could only breathe through my mouth. I was very scared, and it got worse when one of the nurses told me: you have to call a direct relative who can vouch for you, because most likely they will have to operate on you.
At that moment I felt cold all over my body, I froze, they had just told me that I would probably have to have an operation, and besides that, how the hell was I going to call my parents to tell them that I had had an accident because I was at an electronics event and what was taken? I was supposed to go to that city to study, not to be part of those plans. I was paralyzed and once again the person told me, we have to call a relative of yours... I took a breath and said: let's call my mom... As the phone rang I felt like my heart was going to stop working At any time, while all this was happening, I heard a: Hello?
