I'm not going to write to you to sell you products

Hi everyone,

I've been pretty lost these past few months; things have happened... One of the reasons I stopped writing for so long is because I tried to add some ads to the blog, and Google said no, because I cover sensitive topics. And I wondered... then what the heck is a blog for?

When I started this blog, the idea was to find people I could have things in common with and eventually build a community. I did some research, and it turns out Google only shows you in search results when everything you say has the clear purpose of selling a product. For example, I have to write something like: "5 reasons why vitamin B12 will help you control your mood. At this link, you'll find the vitamin B12 I take every day."

That's what blogs are for now... there's no room to talk about anything else, no room for introspection or sharing a bit of your life to feel less alone. I have always wanted to make a living from my writing (clearly making it clear that I am not a professional writer, I am just a human being who likes to reflect on his life with the hope of finding more people with whom I can share ideas). Well, yes... that disappointed me a lot, and I lost interest in continuing to write because the last thing I wanted was to try to push a product on someone in every blog post. I've always left my PayPal in case someone has the money and wants to support me... but I never imagined myself only writing about products or redirecting the entire conversation so that the people who read me end up feeling like they're missing something to be happy...

I was reviewing the interactions from last month, and they were significant as always... that makes me feel good because it makes me think that there are many people out there who like what I write and how I write it. So I felt the need to tell you how life has been these last few months. I'll make a list of the things that have happened and what I've learned or learned in the process:

1. Living with my boyfriend (we've been together for 6 months now)

2. My parents and family met my partner at Christmas

3. In January, I went to a concert alone in another City

4. I started reading The Artist's Way, and things have started to change for the better since then.

5. I decided to create social media accounts to post realistic messages about life.

6. I created my book club.

7. I'm studying independently.

8. I've regained some motivation.

9. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I've been off my medication for a few months.

In the next post, I'll share more about some of these topics... I hope you have a wonderful day/night wherever you're reading this... Sending you lots of hugs.
